Limerick Housing Regeneration Project
Whitebox is thrilled to be working in a joint venture with Clúid Housing on behalf of Limerick City & County Council to deliver a €400m regeneration project.
As per the recent announcement by Limerick City & County Council, this will be across three key sites – Thomondgate, Hyde Road Park (site behind Bourke Avenue) and Coonagh.
Whitebox and Clúid Housing were selected as joint partners on this development on the basis of our ambition, viability and economic/social dividend to the areas of development.
This regeneration project will not just deliver much-needed housing in Limerick, but in the case of the Coonagh site, we will deliver a variety of different housing options to the locale, and investment that will transform both the immediate area and Limerick as a whole.
The Coonagh site proposal features 108 new 1, 2, 3, and 4-bed affordable, social housing units. It also includes a UPMC facility, comprising a 150-bed and 40 day bed hospital, a medical training and research centre, an eco-park, playground, créche and coffee shop.
This development (still in preliminary discussions with UPMC) perfectly represents the Whitebox and Clúid ethos in delivering sustainable, inclusive communities for residents of all ages.
As a Limerick headquartered company, we have significant experience in delivering housing, nursing homes and community support facilities throughout Ireland.
The Thomondgate proposal comprises 63 new housing units, with a mix of affordable, social and private 1, 2 and 3-bed homes.
The Hyde Road Park site (at Speakers Corner, specifically) comprises 36 one and two-bed units – a mixture of affordable, social and private homes.
