Springfields Community Masterplan, Nenagh

Springfield Eco Village development is set in the heart of Nenagh’s newest Urban Village with 1,000 new homes planned that will be supported by a planned new school, Hospital, Nursing Home, Family Creche, Medical Center, and coffee shop with excellent public transport routes to and from the town.

This 23-acre site adjacent to the Nenagh train station and only a 5-minute walk from the town centre affords a superb opportunity for developers and planners to create a new neighbourhood to interact with planned growth. This will underpin the vibrancy of the town for everyone including professional couples, young and growing families, and retirees.

This new community is optimised to facilitate elderly retirees in independent living. This sometimes forgotten age group in newly planned estates is essential to the ethos of the community. Our social housing partners Respond will manage a mix of family homes and apartments from one to 4 bedrooms. Respond’s excellent track record in managing social housing helps ensure that development will remain peaceful, pleasant, and well maintained for all residents. 

The remainder of the development will be private family, starter, and upgrader homes. These 3 and 4 bedrooms will complete the community and ensure all people and families at all stages of life are catered for.

In conjunction with Tipperary County Council, the development will also deliver a significant piece of road infrastructure that will assist the council in completing their planned Nenagh ring road linking the Tyrone Road with the lands at the far side of the railway station.

**Update** – Planning Permission has been granted and work is due to commence on site in May 2022.
