Three new nursing homes are to be delivered by Whitebox Property in Waterford, Kilkenny, and Tramore between now and early 2023 for the sum of €43.5 million.
Whitebox is delighted to be progressing with these modern, state-of-the-art nursing home complexes in the South East, carefully designed with the needs of its future residents in mind.
The three developments will together comprise 273 ensuite bedrooms for elderly people who require continuous care and are set to be delivered between Q3 of 2022 and Q1 of 2023.
All three of these developments will be nearly zero-energy buildings (NZEBs) and will include energy-efficient systems including heat pumps and high-efficiency LED lighting.
The care homes will be operated by Mowlam Healthcare, an established private player with a solid track record and over 20 years of experience in the Irish elderly care sector.
Mowlam Healthcare currently operates nearly 1,800 beds in 28 residential care facilities in Ireland providing high-quality residential care, dementia care, and step-down care to the elderly.
Tramore Nursing Home
This care home will be on the old golf club grounds and will comprise 92 ensuite bedrooms. It is set for completion in Q3 2022 and construction is now underway.
Waterford Nursing Home
The Kilbarry, Co. Waterford care home will be in Carrigea Crescent which is part of Waterford’s new inclusive, community-focused urban village and is to comprise 90 ensuite bedrooms, expected to be completed by Q2 2023.
Kilkenny Nursing Home
Located on the Golf Links Road, this 90-bed nursing home is currently in construction and is set for completion in Q1 2023.
